It was updated, spotless and in the closets. The location was marvellous, within easy walking distance of an art museum.

The hotel was just a short walk from the center of Florence. A laundromat was just a block away. Staff helpful.

A quick 5 minute walk to the Train station and 10 minute walk to all major sights in Florence, Cellai hotel is a great deal. Our room was quite spacious with a very well appointed bath as well. Very accommodating staff--our room wasn't ready when we arrived, but they cleaned it so it was ready within a few minutes after our arrival.
Rooftop "bar" was a let down. Not really a bar and the views weren't spectacular.

The location is good. Just a ten minute walk from the sm Novella train station and 10 to 15 minutes from the Duomo. The building is a lovely historical venue The shower was nice and roomy. The largest I've seen in any hotel. The breakfast buffet was decent relatively speaking.
The fact that they charge for wi fi was a drawback. We could have stayed a lower priced b&b in the area since service didnt make up for the higher price at this hotel. Many of the front desk staff were aloof and not that willing to help. They dont offer any currency exchange.

Exellent design. Authmosphere. A lot of space. Library. Very good taste.
Some rooms have too small shower and could be very noisy in the street side.

Everything was perfect. Location, cleanliness, space, staff were great, breakfast was fantastic, food and surroundings by candlelight. The hotel is so cosy, with art and antiques around every corner.Three honesty bars, room very clean and loads of space. Receptionist reconised it was my birthday from my passport, and when I told him it was also our Silver Wedding Anniversary on the 5th, when we arrived back that evening, there was a bottle of prossecco and bunch of flowers in our room, this was just the icing on the cake. Flexible check in and check out times. Lovely hotel ad beautiful room. Breakfast was an amazing spread, something for everyone. Very comfortable stay. Nothing negative to say about the hotel itself.
Everything was perfect apart from we found the location a little difficult to find at first.
